The Scale To Indicate Latent Exalting Tendencies Towards Our Stilettos

Instructions for use: To find out how venerable an item is simply match up its features with the relevant numbers and add them up. The higher the score, the more reverential the wearer of that item becomes!

Note 1: Because of the many varying designs of shoes, boots and clothes it is almost certain that many items will not feature in the categories below. To categorise an unlisted item estimate how much of the body it covers and match it to the nearest article on the scale.

Shoes

Additional:    1 point per item

  • Studs
  • Toe caps
  • Metal heels
  • etc.

Colour

  • Black = 8
  • Red = 6
  • Gold = 4
  • Silver = 2
  • Others = 0

Combined Colours score midway between those colours e.g. Black/Red = 7 and Black/Silver = 5.

Covering:

  • Oxford = 4
  • Court/Pump = 3
  • D'Orsay, Sling-back = 2
  • Mule/Slide = 1
  • Sandal = 0

Fastening:

  • Lace = 3 (with one additional point per pair of lace holes)
  • Zip = 2
  • Strap = 1
  • Others = 0

Heel:

  • 1 point per inch (count extra half inches as a full inch).

Material:

  • Leather, Patent, Rubber = 10
  • Other = 0

Toe:

  • Elongated & Pointed = 2
  • Rounded = 0

Boots

Additional:    1 point per item

  • Studs
  • Toe caps
  • Metal heels

Note 2: If the outfit is worn with any type of stilettos add a further 25 points to the final combined clothes and footwear total.
