Cooked Poppadom
This is the uncooked poppadom, it's basically a flat disk. It is called a papad and is made from mainly urid flour.
The papad is cooked by either frying, grilling or microwaving. When you cook the poppadom, it rises and expands due to the heat applied to it. It cooks in literally seconds.
The final product, a deliciously crispy snack which can be eaten on its own or served with chutnies.
