Marriage Preparation


            

As part of our service to couples preparing for marriage, we run a Marriage Preparation course, and all couples wishing to get married in one of the benefice churches, Buckingham, Whaddon, Nash, Beachampton, Thornborough and Radclive, will be expected to attend this course. The course is now available to couples getting married across the whole of the  Buckingham Deanery.

It consists of 3 evenings of about 2 hours per evening or a whole day course on a Saturday between 10.00am and 4.00pm. During the sessions, we encourage couples to share with each other what they feel about getting married, and to explore and discuss key issues that arise within a Marriage. Our aim is to equip couples for the major commitment they are undertaking. The course looks at the following areas:

  • Love
  • Sexual Relations
  • Communication
  • Conflict
  • Forgiveness
  • Hopes and fears, Goals and expectations
  • Financial matters
  • God and Prayer

Couples who are not thinking about getting married in church, but would like to attend a course are welcome. There is a small charge to cover the administration and refreshments.
