CHILD PROTECTION

We have adopted an extensive child protection policy that lays out the guidelines which regulates our provision for children & young people, and ensures their welfare and safety.   We discuss with all new volunteers the nature of the role that they are interested in, their suitability and any training needs or other support that may be needed.   They are then asked to complete an application form and to provide two references, which are taken up.  We obtain Criminal Records Bureau clearance for them, which provides an additional background check.  All appointments are confirmed by the PCC.  

This system protects both children and workers, provides a framework within which to operate and allows us to get on with the vital work of spreading the Good News that Christ brings to the young people of Buckingham.
