Why I moved.
My previous site was a "virtual address". This means that you
would type www.allanturner.co.uk
into your browser, but actually the address was http://users.powernet.co.uk/pctmk.
My ISP automatically switched visitors from the virtual address.
The site was using "free web space" but I was limited on the
number of fancy bits I could include. |
Will visitors notice a
difference?
I hope so because this is costing me money!
I can now put feedback forms on the new site along with other gismos which
should make the site even more useful and pleasant to use. |
Do you need to do anything?
Yes. Make sure your "bookmark" or "favourite" has
the correct up to date address.
If you have a hype rink from your site to this one.
If the link is simply to the front page you probably already use the
address www.allanturner.co.uk.
If your link is to deeper in the site replace "http://users.powernet.co.uk/pctmk"
with "www.allanturner.co.uk".
So http://users.powernet.co.uk/pctmk/books.htm
becomes http://www.allanturner.co.uk/books.htm. |
