WORK EXPERIENCE
July 1997 - September 1997 Nokia Telecommunications Ltd, Cambridge.
Integration Test Engineer
Here I worked as part of a small team with leading edge SDH and older PDH communications equipment. I was responsible for testing the proprietary software and hardware interfaces as well as designing testing procedures for new network and node management tools. My time here taught me a lot about project and time management as well as how to work well as part of a team.

Works Engineer
I worked as part of a large team at a newly built TV Tube production factory responsible for the commissioning of the installed conveyor and glass polishing machines. My time here showed me the importance of quality control and team work in producing the best.

Works Engineer
Worked in a team responsible for the installation and construction of a complex conveyor belt system for use in a large electronic manufacturing factory. Here I learned how to integrate well as part of a team and the importance of keeping to deadlines.
AWARDS AND COMMENDATIONS
· Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
· Attained the rank of Flight Sergeant in the Air Training Corps.
· Hold a blue belt in Judo.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS
· President of the University’s Electronic & Electrical Engineering Society.
· Student Member of the SAE.
· In charge of liaison between departments in the University’s formula SAE project.
· I am keen on personal fitness and attend the gym regularly.
· Play rugby for the departmental team.
· I am the lead singer of a four piece pop band and have played pub and university gigs with crowds in excess of 600.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
· Hold a full, clean driving licence.
· Experience and theoretical knowledge of SDH communications systems.
· Competent in programming in Borland C, SHARC ADSP21060, TMS320, Z80 and PIC assembler.
· Experience in general IT software including Office 95, Lotus 1-2-3, DBase, Wordperfect.
· I am currently developing software required for my project using Matlab and Simulink.
