A few years ago, I had a small-bodied Martin copy which was stolen from my car whilst I was fishing. I loved that guitar, but didn't find a satisfactory replacement until I picked up this Yamaha.

I don't often use it plugged in, although it works pretty well like that.  This is the guitar that I get out and play most often. The unplugged tone is quite good for an electro-acoustic. In spite of its matt-black sides and back, the body is all wood, which helps with the acoustic tone.

I just love the feel of it, and with the cutaway I can get some of those high notes and incorporate them into whatever I'm playing.

All in all, I can heartily recommend the Yamaha APX range and consider them excellent value for money.
