What's New?

MP3s

Over the past 34 years, I've played with many bands and now you can get a chance to share in the pain that is art by downloading some MP3s of selected rubbish.

To start this occasional series, I've posted a few files of stuff from 1985 featuring "Spud and the Fabs" - a blues rock combo that managed to replicate entire John Mayall and Cream albums and get paid - albeit rather poorly - for doing so. If your ears can stand clichéd pentatonic meltdown, click here. If not, pass on by to the next lot of goodies lined up for your delectation.

"The Dangerous Kitchen" is now open for business!

Check out some of these great recipes submitted by the great people on the alt.fan.frank-zappa newgroup. Click here to be transported to gourmet heaven.

New guitar tab added

I've worked out the TAB for "Scissorman" and the chords for "Grass" - both by the excellent XTC.

It's small but it's big at the same time.........

The Korg Pandora PX2 reviewed...........can this little silver box solve all your multi FX problems? Well, sort of. Click here to find out if the Pandora is one box you can't resist opening.

"Beer Of the month"

Once again, I'm back at work researching more of 1999's best brews. Oh, the sacrifices I make so you can sample only the best......

October 1999's "Beer Of the month" is now up here - it's got a rather strange name, but don't let that put you off sampling a bottle or three......

"Beer Of The Year 1998"

Find out which beer was the best in '98! The Head Brewer at the winning brewery sent me a nice e-mail when I informed him of the award. Read it here!

Strange Brew

This new feature looks at some of the unusual brews that are available. If they taste foul I'll tell you! If there are some beers you didn't bother to try because they looked or sounded odd I'll try them on your behalf! More sacrifice.......

There are some peculiar beers around, that's for sure.........

Guitar set-up tutorials

This is a series of articles that takes you through set-ups step-by-step. The first article is all about the tools you need for the job. Get your toolkit together and dive straight into the next article - How to string your guitar.  #3 in the series is then next, which concerns adjusting the intonation! Then #4 which looks at adjusting the nut. #5 tackles the task of adjusting the truss rod, and the final article deals with those other minor but very important maintenance jobs that will keep your guitar on top form.
