1992 Gibson Les Paul Standard

I've always wanted a Les Paul, ever since I heard Clapton use one on the Bluesbreakers Album with John Mayall.

I bought this one new in 1993 from Coda Music in Luton. The guy there did an excellent job setting it up for me and it has a very stable neck. I've hardly had to touch it since - just a slight tweak every now and then. I've got 10s on it, which allows for good string bending, but stays in tune well for chords. I don't use it that much on gigs, but I use it a lot when I'm teaching.

The reversed neck pickup was the result of an experiment when I tried to get a Peter Green-type sound. It failed, but I liked the little bit of extra top I got, so I kept it that way.
