Juan Teijeiro Classical Guitar

This is a totally handbuilt guitar and I met the man himself - Juan - at a trade fair a few years ago. Nice guy!

I have a few classical guitar students so I use this quite a bit. I tried out quite a few guitars before I settled on this one. The tone is quite bassy, but the top end cuts through well, giving a balanced sound.

The only thing I don't like about it is changing strings. I hate changing nylon strings - they always seem to take forever to stretch out and stay in tune!

If you're thinking of starting out on guitar, or you have children who want to learn, a nylon-strung instrument is a lot kinder on the fretting fingers......

This hangs on the wall in my work room and often gets taken down for a quick "noodle".
