It is further intended that the AIC should serve, in whatever minute capacity it is possible, as a tool of development and upliftment of the fortunes of Africa and its people in the twenty-first century, already referred to elsewhere as the 'century of Africa'. This can be achieved by making the continent more visible and by providing access to links that increase interaction between all those who have a genuine interest and who seek to enhance the image and position of Africa in the 'global village' of the contemporary world economy, whatever their identity or origin.

The AIC website does not exist to pursue purely academic interests, it is intended to be used by people from all walks of life in whatever capacity they happen to be.

This site is currently in its formative stages and undergoing regular revision in format and design. However, the content will remain constant and signposts will be available to all the major subject headings.
