The stone and inscription over the grave of Phillis and John Flewin and their two grandson stands to this day where it was erected in the church yard in Wilmington in 1866. It is thanks to the work of Peter Flewin, who lives nearby in Horton Kirby to-day, that the pictures are featured here.

He took the coloured photograph himself, but asked his friend, former forces photographer J. Parkinson who lives nearby at Dartford to take the photograph (above). Peter cleaned up the gravestone -- after asking permission -- ahead of the picture being taken in August 2000.
