Download Partickles

While you are waiting for Partickles to download, you could spend the time looking through the first of Partickle's help options. Click this button...
...and the Quick Intro help page will appear in a separate window.

Windows users...
Click here to download the entire Partickles package (stand-alone version) in one 239 KB self-extracting executable file named Pklesfx.exe. When you double-click Pklesfx.exe it creates a folder named Partickles containing:
  • Partickles.exe  -  the program,
  • images  -  folder for gif files,
  • sounds  -  folder for au files,
  • readme.txt  -  accompanying text file.
Double-click Partickles.exe to start.

NB. the Partickles folder will be created in the same location as Pklesfx.exe. It can be moved, but the Partickles.exe program should remain in the same folder as the images and sounds folders.

Users of other systems...
Choose one of the three methods below:
  1. Internet Explorer - click here to download the Partickles package (Internet Explorer browser version) in one 111 KB cab file. You will also need an html file to start Partickles. You can EITHER add the following code to an html page of your own:
      <applet
          code=Pkles.class
          name=Pkles
          width=230
          height=120>
          <param name=cabbase value=Pkles.cab>
      </applet>
    OR click here to go to a sample Pkles.html page that you can save. You should store the Pkles.cab file in the same folder as the Pkles.html file. Open the Pkles.html file with your browser (or vice versa), and click the "Start Partickles" button when it appears.

  2. Messy method - you should run the Online version of Partickles first. This will place Partickles' Java files on your system. Then, click here to go to a page that will place the remainder of Partickles' files on your system. You will have to wait for a moment for that page to appear. The page will describe how to find all these files and gather them into appropriate folders to create a browser version of Partickles that can (crossed fingers) be used with any system.

  3. Email method - for the time being, I am prepared to send the files as email attachments. Send an email using the following link: send Partickles by email. There is no need to write a message... the title says it all.
    NB. Your email address will not be divulged.
When you have Partickles...
Send me an email to tell me what you think of it! You can use this link to send the message (optional but friendly).
